The Escape Collection is CharGlow’s fragrance-forward line. These candles use fragrance oils selected for candle applications and are designed to create a richer, more noticeable scent experience.

The Signature Collection is our original lightly scented line, made with essential oils and activated charcoal. Signature is intentionally more subtle than Escape.

Fragrance notes develop differently as the wax warms. Some notes are more noticeable when the candle is unlit, while others emerge during the burn. Room temperature, airflow, and burn time can also influence how the fragrance is perceived.

No fragranced candle can be described as universally pet-safe because animals differ in their sensitivities, health conditions, and tolerance for scent.

For homes with pets, we generally recommend our Signature Collection because it is intentionally lightly scented and creates a softer fragrance experience than our fragrance-forward Escape Collection. Signature candles are made with essential oils, including lavender, cedarwood, and geranium, depending on the blend.

Essential oils are not automatically risk-free for animals, so any candle should be used thoughtfully. Burn in a well-ventilated room, keep the candle and wax out of reach, and make sure your pet can leave the area. Discontinue use if you notice coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, unusual behavior, breathing difficulty, or other signs of discomfort.

Consult your veterinarian before using fragranced products around pets with asthma, respiratory disease, neurological conditions, or known fragrance sensitivities.

Candles should always be kept out of reach of children and burned only under adult supervision. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and avoid using fragranced products around anyone who shows signs of irritation or sensitivity.

We do not describe candles as universally allergy-friendly because fragrance sensitivities vary. Signature provides a lighter scent experience, but customers with known fragrance allergies or sensitivities should review the ingredients and use fragranced products cautiously.

No single fragrance ingredient is appropriate for every person or animal. Essential oils and fragrance oils are different types of scent materials, but either may cause sensitivity in some environments. Product selection should be based on the individual formula, intended use, and the needs of the household.

Activated charcoal is the ingredient that inspired CharGlow’s original concept and gives the Signature Collection its distinctive identity and appearance. It is blended into the soy wax along with essential oils.

We do not represent the candle as a substitute for cleaning, ventilation, filtration, or professional odor remediation. The Signature Collection incorporates activated charcoal as part of its original formula, but results in a finished candle should not be equated with an activated-carbon air-filtration system.

Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn. Remove any loose wick debris from the wax before lighting.

Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time. Allow the candle and vessel to cool completely before relighting.

During the initial burns, allow the wax pool enough time to develop toward the edges of the vessel without exceeding four hours. Keep the candle away from drafts and ensure the wick remains centered and trimmed.

Soy wax can develop frosting, texture changes, small surface variations, or an uneven appearance after burning and cooling. These cosmetic variations do not necessarily affect candle performance.

Stop burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Yes. Once the candle is finished, fully cooled, and cleaned, the vessel can be repurposed for decorative storage, office supplies, or other non-food uses.

Mushroom packaging is made using mycelium and agricultural material. Where included with your order, review any disposal or composting instructions supplied with the packaging.

Not every packaging component is necessarily compostable. Some materials are recyclable, while mushroom-based protective pieces may be compostable under suitable conditions. Check each material before disposal.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email containing tracking information. Tracking activity may take a short period to appear after the carrier receives the package.

Contact us with your order number and clear photographs of the shipping box, packaging, and damaged item. We will review the issue and arrange an appropriate replacement or resolution.

Because fragrance preference is personal and our candles are handcrafted, we do not accept returns or exchanges based solely on scent preference or change of mind. If a candle arrives damaged or has a significant performance defect, contact us with your order number and photographs so we can review the issue.
